Northern Lakes Community Mental Health is a medical specialist in Traverse City, Michigan. It is listed at 105 Hall St A, Traverse City, MI 49684, which places it among the local businesses of Traverse City that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
In Traverse City, urgent care centers are busiest on weekends and evenings when doctors' offices are closed, and most post their wait times online. Across Michigan, primary care practices often have a waitlist for new patients, so establishing care before you need it saves time. For a dental emergency outside office hours, an urgent care center can prescribe antibiotics and pain relief but cannot fix the tooth; a hospital emergency room can treat swelling that affects breathing or swallowing. Check the listing for insurance, hours and whether telehealth visits are offered.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 amβ5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Traverse City is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Traverse City follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Doctor Plum is the most incompetent, unprofessional doctor I have ever seen. I am shocked the women has a degree in anything at all. She spends more time talking about herself than the patient. By a lot. When you do speak, she is looking at her laptop not listening. Very very low effort. I feel like she's just there to collect a check.

I can actually absolutely say that I have had a very outstanding experience with the Dr. I can assure you that the Dr I have and the Therapist that I had brought me out of a dark space. I was 22 years old. Iβm 47 now. I will assure you that they give it 110% there all. I think the negative reviews will be with someone that doesnβt put their time in. Appointments and putting that first everything falls into place. It takes time. Itβs not an overnight process. Hang in there and I know you will have a better outcome.

It honestly took me 28 years to even consider going or a CMH. But I am glad I did. I love my psych been seeing her for over 7 years now. When I went to counseling here, it took finding the right therapist for it to work out, but I have experienced that anywhere I go. It was nice to have my therapist and my psych in one building made my life a little easier.

Iβm not posting on google my experience and history. I have reason to believe the state is paying for services I am not even getting. I have been trying to advocate best I can in my circumstances and get help for myself. Itβs not working

Unprofessional, under-qualified staff who exude arrogance and are aware that their actions will cause undo harm, but did so anyway. They have people working who are practicing without a license by overstepping their roleβwhich is a very dangerous means of offering mental health services as the authority in the area.

I'm not going to share all of the details of my experience with case management, but it is a mess there. Lots of promises of how they will help and then it is never done. I saw Jennifer Schultz for a while and thought we had a respectful relationship, until she started complaining about getting too many clients. Next thing I knew she missed our appointment and blamed it on me. I tried talking about it with her and she refused. Then she dropped me like a bag of trash!!!! Wouldn't recommend her to anyone. Very fake!! On the other hand, I've had the same doctor there for years. Dr. Colombo is so nice, helpful, and really does care. I can't say enough about how much she has helped me. She is amazing and I would give her 5 stars +

I'm very frustrated at how much worse my life has gotten since coming here. It is very clear to me that their blanket policies for treatment and medication are harmful, and far from helpful, in practice for the patient and it does not matter what the research says; their goal should not be to allow harm to come to someone because of a policy they refuse to amend. Also the specialist I saw just seemed to have had her mind made up from before I'd even come in for the appointment and cared absolutely nothing for any of my input and experiences as a patient; this I find the most insulting. I told her from the very beginning and in the most convincing terms I possibly could how my life would deteriorate because of her action and she went through with it anyway, and of course things are far worse now for me. Wish I hadn't had to move her and come to a place like this and I'm now having to look in other towns nearby and farther away to find proper services.

Called looking to get in as a new patient and after a 15 minute phone call I was denied services because I βwasnβt in crisisβ and they didnβt feel what I was going through considered an emergency. Good to know we have this wonderful clinic telling us what weβre going through isnβt serious enough to be seen. I was fortunate enough to get into another clinic thatβs actually taking my mental health seriously.
